Government response to the on the future of Healthwatch

In July, the Government accepted all the recommendations from the Dash Review including abolishing Healthwatch. The Government have now formally responded to the petition backed by over 10,000 people. Read more about the response, what it means for Healthwatch Derbyshire, and our plans going forward.

While many understood the importance of protecting themselves and the people they support, barriers such as access, time, and information remained. We carried out this work to help improve support and uptake of infection prevention measures within home care services.

Between June - August 2025, people working in routine and manual jobs across Derbyshire shared their views on smoking, quitting, and local stop smoking services. Many wanted to quit for health and financial reasons but faced barriers like lack of awareness, cost, and shift work. We completed this project to help Diva Creative to shape upcoming messaging and to improve stop smoking support in Derbyshire.‍
