November 2025 Update on Dentistry

Continuing our work looking into dentistry in Derbyshire, here is our latest update on how things are changing in November 2025.

In our research we are focusing on dental practices accepting new NHS patients. This data was collected from the NHS Find a Dentist website. If there was no information on the Find a Dentist website, our team and volunteers made calls to practices to understand the practices current position in terms of accepting new patients.

Please be aware this data is accurate at the time of publishing. It provides an overview of the dental services available in each ‘neighbourhood’ in Derbyshire. Please note that we are unable to give any recommendations on which practices are accepting new NHS regular patients.

We advise you contact dentist practices directly to discuss and to find out if they are taking on new NHS regular patients. We have also published some advice on how to access dental treatment which can be found here.

We continue to monitor the access to NHS dentistry in Derbyshire and we are sharing our findings with dental commissioners, Joined Up Care Derbyshire, Local Dental Network and Derbyshire Oral Health Steering Group to influence positive change.
