Throughout the West Midlands there has been an increase in measles cases. Most of these cases are young children who have not had their measles mumps and rubella (MMR) vaccination. As the West Midlands is close to Derbyshire, the UK Health Security Agency is urging people who have not already done so, to get their MMR vaccine as soon as possible to avoid measles spreading.

Between October and December 2025, we spoke to people across Derby City and Derbyshire about smoking, quitting, and awareness of local stop smoking support. The findings are being used to improve services and shape future stop smoking messaging.

In November 2025, home care workers across Derbyshire shared their experiences of infection prevention and flu vaccination. While many understood the importance of protecting themselves and the people they support, barriers such as access, time, and information remained. We carried out this work to help improve support and uptake of infection prevention measures within home care services.

Between June - August 2025, people working in routine and manual jobs across Derbyshire shared their views on smoking, quitting, and local stop smoking services. Many wanted to quit for health and financial reasons but faced barriers like lack of awareness, cost, and shift work. We completed this project to help Diva Creative to shape upcoming messaging and to improve stop smoking support in Derbyshire.‍
