Help shape the future of cervical screenings in Derbyshire

We are working with Healthwatch Derby to gather feedback from women and people with a cervix aged 25 to 64, about their experiences with cervical screenings (sometimes known as smear tests). You can find out more about cervical screenings here: NHS cervical screening.

Your insights will play a crucial role in helping the NHS and Public Health improve the cervical screening programme in Derbyshire.

Why your feedback matters

Did you know that nearly 1 in 3 women and people with a cervix don't attend their cervical screening? Cervical screening is a vital test to check the health of the cervix and help prevent cervical cancer. By sharing your experiences, whether positive or negative, you can help identify what is working well and what could be improved in the screening process. By improving the process we hope this can increase the number of people going to their screening appointments.

What we’re asking:

  • Whether you have attended a cervical screening appointment
  • Your thoughts on the screening process
  • Any barriers that may have stopped you from attending
  • Suggestions for improvement
  • Discussions with your GP about other related health issues
  • Some information about yourself, which is optional

How to take part

The survey will only take 10-15 minutes of your time and is open until 22 April 2025. You can also have the chance to win a £100 Love2shop voucher by entering your details into our prize draw!
