July Update from NHS Dentists in Derbyshire

Continuing our work looking into dentistry in Derbyshire, here is our latest update on the landscape and how this is changing in July 2023.

In our research we are focusing on dental practices accepting new NHS patients. This data was collected from the NHS Find a Dentist website. Where there was no information on the Find a Dentist website, our dedicated team and volunteers made calls to practices to understand the practices current position in terms of accepting new patients.

Please be aware this data is accurate at the time of publishing and provides an overview of the dentistry services available in each ‘place’ in Derbyshire. Please note that we are unable to give any recommendations on which practices are accepting new NHS regular patients. We advise you to contact dentist practices directly to discuss your circumstances and to find out if they are taking on new NHS regular patients. We have also published some advice on how to access dental treatment which can be found here.

We continue to monitor the access to NHS dentistry in Derbyshire and we are sharing our findings with dental commissioners, Joined Up Care Derbyshire, Local Dental Network and Derbyshire Oral Health Steering Group to influence positive change.
