Future Focus on Primary Care event

In mid-September we hosted our Future Focus on Primary Care event in Chesterfield. Primary care is often the first point of contact for patients, which brings with it the pressure to deliver quality care with limited resources. Despite these challenges, our primary care event focused on looking forwards to the future.

At the event we explored the evolving landscape of primary care in Derbyshire, the challenges, and the future plans and top priorities. We also looked into how we can all support primary care as we work to achieve the objectives of the Delivery Plan for Recovering Access to Primary Care.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our event and to our guest speakers from across the health and care system.

Highlights Video

We are excited to share that we've produced a video that captures the key highlights and discussions from the day. The video is a way for those who were there to remember the event and for those who couldn't make it to find out what we discussed and did during the day.

Next Steps

Since the event we’ve been focusing on gathering all the feedback and insights from the breakout sessions that took place on the day.

In the breakout sessions we asked:

  1. How do you feel you/your organisation could work with, or support, general practice in the role it plays in our health and care system?
  2. What are the key communication methods we need to use to deliver the objectives of the Delivery Plan for Recovering Access to Primary Care, across Derby and Derbyshire.

The key feedback we received can be found by clicking 'download' on the left hand side of the page. Thank you to everyone for contributing your thoughts and ideas during the session. Your feedback will be crucial as we all work towards achieving the objectives of the Delivery Plan for Recovering Access to Primary Care together.
