Good Life Pharmacy

In September 2025, we visited Good Life Pharmacy in Hatton to understand people’s experiences of using the service.
We wanted to learn:
- What people thought about the pharmacy and the care they receive
- How well the pharmacy meets the needs of the local community
- How accessible and inclusive the environment is
- How easy it is for people to get information and use services
- What could be improved
Key findings:
- Most people gave very positive feedback about the pharmacy, describing it as friendly, helpful and an important part of the community
- People spoke positively about the pharmacy team and working environment
- People were particularly happy with the quality of care and personalised service
- The pharmacy was easy to find and had step-free access
- The main concern was lack of space, especially during busy periods when the pharmacy and Post Office were both in use
- Some people felt opening times could be improved to better fit around work and other commitments
- Awareness of services such as Pharmacy First could be improved
- Volunteers identified areas where the website and signage could be clearer and more accessible
What we suggested
We made 16 recommendations to support ongoing improvement. These included:
- Raising awareness of Pharmacy First and other services
- Reviewing opening times and appointment scheduling to reduce busy periods
- Improving website clarity, accessibility and accuracy
- Adding clearer signage, including information about the hearing loop
- Making small changes to improve accessibility, such as seating with arms and clearer assistance signage
Thank you
Thank you to the team at Good Life Pharmacy for welcoming us, and to everyone who shared their experience with us during the visit.
