Hospital Discharge Report Spring 2023

In Spring 2023, we collected the views and experiences of over 100 people leaving Hospitals in Derbyshire. We spoke to people in the Discharge Lounge of Chesterfield Royal Hospital, and the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton Discharge Assessment Units, who were waiting to go home from hospital.

We also spoke with people who had recently left hospital, with the help from the Derbyshire Home from Hospital Service. We wanted to listen to people’s views of leaving hospital, to identify areas of good practice, along with areas that people felt would improve the patient experience when returning home after a stay in hospital.
