Take a moment to share your care

We believe that everyone’s experiences with social care services are important.

From the care received in care homes, activities provided by day centres, to support from social workers - every experience matters. Your feedback is important to help improve care for our community.

Why your voice matters

We believe that your voice is not just important but also powerful. We have the power to make decision-makers listen to your voice, but we need to hear from you to tell them what needs to change.

One example of creating change is when a Derbyshire resident got in touch about a care home that was not providing culturally appropriate meals to their loved one. By letting us know, we were able to work with the home to make sure that the meals provided met the person's cultural and religious needs.

When you share your personal stories and experiences of social care services, you become part of a shared effort to improve services. Every individual's experience is unique and valuable. Together, we can build a better, more responsive social care system that meets the needs of Derbyshire residents. Sharing your feedback really does make a difference.

What are social care services?

Types of social care services include:

  • Mobility services such as wheelchair services, and other services who provide mobility equipment to remain independent at home
  • Home adaptation services
  • Care after a stay in hospital or a serious illness. This is sometimes called a package of care or care package.
  • Help from social services to manage your money if you're considered a vulnerable adult
  • Care provided at home that is paid for
  • Nursing in a care home
  • Day centres in the community
  • Support from a social worker
  • Social care support for a mental health condition

Who do we want to hear from?

We want to hear from anyone who has had experience with social care in Derbyshire. This can be on behalf of a friend, neighbour, relative, or your own experiences.

When you or someone you care about receives social care services in Derbyshire, you have an opportunity to make a real difference by letting us know what you think.

How to get involved

Sharing your experiences of care is easy! Your feedback, whether it’s positive, negative, or ways things could be improved, is a step towards improving services for everyone in Derbyshire.
